Dr Chris Hodge and Lesley Kemp from Australia returned to continue providing dental care for the children at the Sagarmatha School.
Their trip went really well and the kids were great. We made a point of really involving our helpers this time in the clinic.
The senior students enjoyed the opportunity to assist in the clinic by nursing and sterilising instruments.
Many of the younger patients had never received any prior dental treatment.
The participation of the older students helped greatly in making these younger patients more relaxed.

We got through 160 cases, a bit less than the last visit in 2024, because many were doing exams and following that, they left for a week off.
The dental health was overall better in the younger kids.
We gave away a lot of toothbrushes. The senior students gave the oral hygiene instructions. This helped the older kids to see the problems first hand, who were then able to explain in their own words and language how to better look after their teeth.
